- Take 2 cups Hot water
- Take 2 tbsp Manathakkali vathal

- Prepare 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
- Take 2 tbsp Vathakuzhambu powder
- Prepare 1 tsp Grated Ginger
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Jaggery for taste
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Ghee
- Get As needed Salt
- You need Vathakuzhambu Powder:
- Provide 1 cup Coriander seeds
- Get 20 Red chilli
- Get 1/2 cup Toovar dal
- Use 1/4 cup Bengal gram
- Provide 3 tbsp Black pepper
- You need 1 tbsp Jeera
- Prepare 1 tbsp Fenugreek seeds
- Take 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- Use 2 tbsp Curry leaves
- Use To Temper:
- Take 2 tbsp Gingelly oi
- Get 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Provide 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds
- You need 2 no Red chilies
- Get 5 Garlic chopped
- Get 1 tbsp Channa dal
- Get 2 tsp Peanuts
- You need 1 tsp Urad dal
- Use pinch Hing

Instructions to make Manathakkali Vathal Kuzhambu (Wonder Berry Tangy Gravy):
- Soak tamarind in hot water for 20 minutes. squeeze the pulp and keep aside.
- Dry roast all the ingredients under the topic "Vatha Kuzhambu Powder". Cool down and grind to powder. Store this in airtight container and you can use upto 2 months.

- Now add tamarind water and salt. Cover and cook in medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes until oil separates from the gravy. Stir occasionally.
- Now add jaggery and cook for another 2 minutes. Add ghee and adjust the salt.
